Pick your simulators on StrataSim Shop.
One MSFS simulator, both of them, X-Plane 12, or all three on one licence. Checkout takes a minute, and StrataWx goes straight into your library on the shop.
Install it from your library.
Your StrataSim Shop library installs StrataWx and activates it on your PC. Each simulator you own installs as its own app, and one copy can be active on three PCs at once.
Open your libraryStart StrataWx, then the simulator.
Leave the app running: it is the engine. On MSFS, its first start puts the in-sim panel in your Community folder, and MSFS loads add-ons only when it starts, so if the simulator was already open, close it and start it again once.
Only one weather engine should drive the sky. Close any other live weather add-on, and if you use RealTurb, turn it off while you fly with StrataWx.
Load into a flight.
StrataWx links to the simulator on its own and starts flying the weather a few seconds after the aircraft loads. Pick Live, Historical, Sandbox or Hybrid at the top of the app. The StrataWx panel in the simulator's toolbar shows what is being sent, and opening it is optional.
Already own StrataWx?
If you bought it before it was on StrataSim Shop, you do not buy it again. Sign in to StrataSim Shop with the email on your licence and link your StrataWx licence to your account. It then installs from your library like any other purchase.
Link your StrataWx licenceBought the MSFS 2024 app and want MSFS 2020 too, or the other way around? That is the cross-grade, never a second full purchase. X-Plane 12 is a separate licence.

Live and Historical read real observations as they happen. Sandbox needs no connection, and your licence renews in the background whenever your PC is online.
One weather engine at a time.
You can keep Active Sky FS installed. StrataWx does not start while it is running, and offers to close it if it starts later.
