From checkout to your first sky.
Four steps, and most of them take care of themselves.
Buy StrataFx on StrataSim Shop.
Checkout takes a minute, and StrataFx goes straight into your library on the shop, tied to your account.
Install it from your library.
Your StrataSim Shop library shows everything you need to install StrataFx and activate it on your PC. One copy can be active on three PCs at once, and once StrataFx is installed, its updates arrive in the background.
Open your libraryLoad into a flight.
Start Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and load into the cockpit. StrataFx finds the simulator on its own, wherever it is installed, and tells you when it is ready to apply.
If the simulator has just updated, StrataFx may ask for an update first. That is on purpose: it only works on builds we have checked, and the update installs in the background as soon as it ships.
Choose a theme, and press Apply.
Start with Realistic, or pick any theme in the library. Apply sends it to your flight, and Stop or Restore original hands the sky back whenever you like. Learn FX, in the sidebar, replays the guided tour.
What you need.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, on Windows.
64-bit Windows. StrataFx finds your running simulator automatically, wherever it is installed, and checks compatibility before applying a theme.
Steam is verified. Microsoft Store, Xbox app and PC Game Pass validation is in progress.
MSFS 2020 and X-Plane are not supported.
A StrataSim Shop account.
You make one at checkout. Your copy, its installs and the PCs it is active on all live there.
The internet, now and then.
Each license check lasts seven days, and StrataFx renews it in the background while your PC is online.
StrataWx, if you like.
Optional. With it running, adaptive themes follow the weather it is flying. StrataFx works with the simulator's own weather too.
